Science has helped us to live in better conditions through our life, and we believe it will dramatically change the shape of our future living circumstances. Due to this, many people state the study of science should be mandatory for all students, I do not agree with it and will explain the reason in this essay.
Firstly, there are many students who are not interested in science or do not have any talent at all, so it is waste of time to study the subject they are not good at. It could be right for them to use their effort in the subjects through which they can roll out their ability to the world. We know it is unlikely to be someone has both abilities of logic and creative.
Secondly, some students who are fundamental christian often struggle to avoid some science topic, such as evolution of human beings or the mystery of the birth of the universe. It would be torture or even further an ordeal for them to be forced to believe what text books say. I can still remember one of my friends from the middle school who confessed almost crying he betrayed his God in the exam for a better result.
Finally, students should be given the right to choose the subject they want to study. There could be some students who are fascinated in science, while other ones despise it. Thus, it will be definitely fair for both of them if they can choose what they are satisfied with for happier school life.
In conclusion, because the pursuit of of happiness is a human basic right and everyone can have the freedom of believing in their god, despite the gigantic advantages science provides to us, it should not be obligatory for all students in the school to study science.
